An Enterprise-Class CRM for the U.S. Higher Education Market: Website

Role: Director of User Experience

Problem: How to launch a fully-featured CRM in the U.S. higher education market with a consumer-like user experience as competitive advantage.

Solution: Execute user-centric design principles while collaborating with a team of stakeholders who have worked in higher education admissions at every level to design, build, and launch Fireworks CRM.

Results: Double digit year-over-year growth the first three years.

Notable Contributions:

Created and maintained a scalable modular on-brand design system that works with hundreds of interlocking interfaces and design metaphors.

Presented direct user feedback and analytics to make strategic choices with the prioritization team.

Transformed requirements and user analytics data into rapid-prototypes, user-flows, wireframes, user interface concepts, and finally functional user interfaces.

Supported sales teams with Fireworks related collateral, copy writing, and software accessibility expertise.

Worked in the trenches to implement the front end using Laravel Blade templating language (PHP) with AAA WCAG 2.0 accessibility compliant HTML 5, javascript, and SASS.

Lead the user experience team recruiting javascript engineers and designers and overseeing their professional development.

Was instrumental within a task force to make a company-wide transition from waterfall to Agile (Scrum) development, leading to a three-fold increase in dev and deployment times.
